Ikorodu City Wins first FA.CUP

Ikorodu City defeated Smart City Football club 2-0 in an intriguing game to emerge winners of the oldest cup competition in the state. It could be recalled the football club was founded two years ago, the club has now won its first major silverware while also emerging the first club from Ikorodu division to clinch FA Cup glory. The new champions who were first timers at the tournament last season were edged out in the quarterfinals by NPFL side, MFM FC.
